On December 4, Fleuroselect organized the Breeders & Distributors Conference 2024 at the Schoneveld Breeding location. The theme of this conference was: cooperation between companies, together with the advantages and opportunities to establish a strong brand at a retail and consumer level.
Following this topic, Fleuroselect asked Breeding Accel participants to present themselves and the collaborative collective. Presentations by Teunis Sikma (Fresh Forward) on 'brand branding' in apples, on 'data-driven-breeding' by Joost Kos (Royal van Zanten) and by Peter van der Pol (Schoneveld Breeding) on cooperation according to the bee-hive principle, were interesting parts of the program.
The presentations were followed by a tour of Breeding Accel's bio molecular lab and the booth presentation of Breeding Accel members. This gave the visitors the opportunity to see and ask what is happening at the companies in the field of breeding. In this way, the power of cooperation within Breeding Accel was excellently expressed.
